It seems today that with the internet and laptop computers everyone spends more time with computers then we do with anything else. I keep telling myself, that I don't have a problem, that I'm not that addicted to the internet but then being able to recognise and identify self with many of the symptoms listed above, the evidence is there, all signs point to it. :). I am an ADDICT. Even this instant, I told myself I am just going to check my email and then call it a night, but it has been 3hrs 18mins since I came online and I am still on, weeding through my emails, logging onto FB, Skype chatting, doing research, searching for updated torrents on those soap operas I have been following - ALL at the same time.... not forgetting intending to post this up on my blog. Laptop is like my security blanket - i I feel i can 'escape' into it, express myself, it's just like a gateway. Some may call it a waste of precious time, but I see it as therapeutic.
To me, Internet Addiction is the Socially Acceptable Drug of the 21st Century
Signing off now - after 5 hours:)
